Radio Frequency Nerve Ablation (RFNA) for Chronic Heel Pain
Radio Frequency is a therapy for relieving pain related to Plantar Fasciitis and Morton's Neuroma. Radio Frequency offers a simple, accurate solution for plantar heel pain syndrome and Morton's Neuroma. For nearly 30 years this technology has been used to alleviate pain related to the Spine. Now this technology has been applied to lower extrimity and it has been done so with great success. The NT-250 generator was designed specifically for the foot & ankle.
Dr. Lucas uses the NeuroTherm® NT-250 radiofrequency generator to treat pain associated with plantar fasciitis and neuromas. The device generates radio waves to produce heat that destroys a nerve's ability to transmit pain. The radiofrequency machine is pre-programmed to disrupt the nerve signal and pain source without damaging adjacent tissues.
